Sunday 21 April

Depart on your early afternoon Qantas flight. On arrival transfer to the airport hotel.

Monday 22 April

After breakfast return to the airport for your onward morning flight to Alice Springs. On arrival there will be an orientation drive of Alice Springs before arriving at your hotel.  This day finishes with an Outback Bush Dinner and Show at Earth Sanctuary. 

Tuesday 23 April

Today starts with a half day tour to the West Macdonnell Ranges where you can enjoy walks at both Simpsons Gap and Standley Chasm plus stops at historic locations. In the afternoon we continue to The School of the Air, the historic Telegraph Station, and the Royal Flying Doctors Service. 

Wednesday 24 April

After breakfast, you will visit the Old Ghan Train Museum/National Road Museum, before travelling on to Kings Canyon arriving late afternoon. On the way lunch is included at the Eldunda Roadhouse.

The Old Ghan Heritage Railway Museum and The National Road Transport Hall of Fame  operate on adjoining sites. This huge complex is one of the most comprehensive land transport museums in the southern hemisphere. Vehicles displayed are in their working day condition maintained by bush mechanics and engineers that worked with what was available to invent what was required.

Thursday 25 April

The day begins with a morning (one hour) Kings Bed walk, followed by breakfast then a mid morning departure. Enroute you will have a stop at Atila (Mt. Conner) Lookout, often mistaken for Uluru. Lunch will be at Curtin Springs, a working cattle station operated by the same family since 1956. Look out for wild camels that inhabit the area.  Arrival at Uluru mid to late afternoon. A one hour tour of the Curtin Springs paper hand making process is included, where paper is made from the native grasses on Curtin Springs Station.

Each piece is an individual, distinctive and beautiful souvenir of Central Australia, showcasing the diversity of the desert landscape. The different stages of the paper making process will be explained and demonstrated  and on display and available for visitors to see and touch.

Friday 26 April

Early this morning, you will be picked up from your hotel for an iconic Uluru sunrise. The early rise is well worth it as you experience the two major landmarks in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Start with an amazing sunrise at Talinguru Nyakunytjaku, the Uluru sunrise viewing area.  Afterwards, on the 45 kilometer drive to Kata Tjuta your Driver Guide will provide you with an historical overview of the National Park. The walk through the sheer walls of Walpa Gorge won’t disappoint as you’re led into a world of rare plant species and lush evergreen scrubs. You will also make a stop at the Cultural Centre on your tour today. The day concludes with an evening farewell BBQ.

Saturday 27 April

 Transfer to the airport for return flight change planes and terminals in Sydney.
